The goverment is a good answer but it is the same goverment that knew about 9/11 but did not do anything to stop it.
The same goverment that knew about the bridge that fell but did not do anything about it.
The same goverment that was going to get the dogs of the street. To my knowledge there is dogs to on the streets.
The same goverment that would not teach someone that wrote backwards and a speech problem how to write. Just said get marry to a doctor or lawer. Learning on the forms how to write better. So is that a answer to the question. About my writting.
I am a read of books. I would read like a 100 pages or more a day. I was A in bookkeeping. Plus other class A to C in other class. Now english I have trouble with because of my problem. But I still got C to D in it. My IQ is above average.

Again have you not been to a horse show were only the small group of people win. If you do not buy from this one person or pay for a trainer they like. Or buy a new saddle every year. You will not win. Plus how many people can buy a horse for $10,000. This is where you are going.
Plus I have raised top show horses.
One of the top producing AQHA lines is Three Bars. I think all the studs out of this horse should be gelded. So because I do not think this horse studs should be able to bred. Then every one should geld them.
Plus I like smaller horses. I think the breeds have gotten to big. So lets geld all them too.
Now do you get it? Who is going to say what every one would like in a horse.
It is about freedom of chose. There is people that believe that showing a horse or riding a horse is abuse. So do not show anymore or ride. Or you are going to jail for abuse. Or I should say it like a good rescue person. Lets kill you!! You BAD BAD PERSON. Abusing horse the way you do.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and Breeds of horse are judged on how close they approximate the standard for that breed set by a man or men.
This entitles no one to decide what you desire in your own herd, you feed and care for them it is your prerogative. Until that is taken from us carry on! The needs and health of the animal are of prime importence and the control of disease, these matters need to be governed by law.

Firstly I ditto Mulereiner on everything she said. I think you are missing the point about breeding willy nilly. The sire should have papers, be parentage verified, free of known genetic defects such as parrot mouth and by typical of the breed type and good in confirmation. It should also have some type of proven record and this would prevent my pretty pony breeders having their mares bred to farmer plod's stud down the road so that it can produce yet another veritable genetic mess that nobody will want and end up either at the killers or neglected somewhere. What's so bad about that? Any reasonable person can see the benefits to that, both industry wide and in terms of horse welfare. The only people I can see that would complain are those that either do not understand the consequences of irresponsible breeding or or actually the ones doing it.

How old are you?

Maybe you haven't seen the slaughter issues or if you have, you don't realize the consequences.

Maybe you have seen the broken down, diseased, broken legged, sick, emaciated horses I see at the sale barns that would have been terminated way more humanely than the no sale they recieved and going back to the same hell to die a slow death??

Maybe you think that your mare and your stud are the most fantabulous things walking the face of the earth and you join the other barn blind people that inhabit this world.

I actually have said who in a prior post, I believe it needs to be regulated by the government, with stallion registries. I believe stallion owners should be a yearly fee of $1000 to breed their beast. I believe that the stud should be successful in at least 2 events. There should be fines and penalities and a mandatory castration to any offense to the above.

As far as getting that enabled, thats the HOW that we should be worried about. Until then, there will still be the magnitude of horses bred for no purpose and again the slaughter issue will be met again.

Well for one thing you need to learn composition of a sentence If you want to breed horses, you should have both stud and mare checked by a vet. Brucillosis is something you have to test for as this will destroy a good mare or stud. Are the horses both sound? Any chronic health problems.? Are you equipped will enough stables for a mare and foal? Are the traits of the horses what you want to carry on? Do you have enough money for the added expenses? This is my first time seeing this question so I hope I'm not plowing old ground. Dumb has little to do with what you want to do. if you can properly take care of my questions, you can do what you please and good luck to you.

i would say that the owner has the responsibility to know. but some people just breed their horses because they like baby horses but then they realize how much work they are and they dont have the time and/or space for one. i would say that its a good idea to have some sort of application that you have to do to prove that you have the proper time and care for a horse.
