They switched to the Transfat-free oil. I work for Mc Donald's and they are doing test markets for their new oil, but I have heard it is getting bad reviews. They have not jumped on the bandwagon yet because they are trying to find an oil that doesn't change the taste of the fries too much. Other companies should have done more testing before just grabbing the first one that came along.

Hello:
It is because they don't use trans fat oils when they deep fry their chicken anymore. I will not go back to KFC because of the change, their chicken is no where near as good as it used to be,I am not kidding!

Actually the last time I had KFC, was about 3 weeks ago, and it was probably the worst fried chicken I have ever had, greasy and cooked too hard (crunchy).

When it first came out, I was told it was great! It doesn't taste all that good anymore. There's no 11 herbs & spices either. That's false advertising! They only use salt & pepper. Its the pressure cooking that gives it some flavor. Pioneer chicken use to be the best till they sold out to Popeye's.

I haven't had it in quite a while either, then had some about two weeks ago, and I have to agree with you - it's not as good as I remember. In my case, it was greasier than I remembered and gave me indigestion. It looks like Popeyes from here on out.

Well, it could have been a bad batch. Or it could have just been more addicting chemicals injected into it. But I just like the cole slaw and mashed potatoes there anyway.
