Ok battery have memories and if you never let the battery drain all the way and then charge all the way for about the first week the battery will loose power and not be able to hold a charge as long i did the same thing to my lap top. Either buy a new one or be cheap like me and just take the cord with you everywhere. Hope that helps

How old is the computer? Batteries can loose their ability to charge fully after some time, especially after frequent discharges...usually when you buy a new battery its good practice to fill it to 100% then let it drain to no power at all, this teaches the memory cells of the battery how far they can fill. I'd say it could be new battery time

Check with the manufacturer to see if there was a battery recall on your model. This might get you a free battery. Most likely it's the battery, but sometimes the internal components that actually change the battery can go bad. If you have free tech support, call them and have them walk you through troubleshooting it.

Nope. Lithium batteries only last for a certain number of charges because they bite the dust. And it really doesn't help to buy a used one. Shop online for some deals - maybe you'll get lucky.

sorry but unless you remove the batter and use the AC charger as the sole power source, you need to get a new battery. I know, I know, its expensive, but hey, you get a laptop, you gotta be expected to do it every now and then...I bet you own a packard bell...I have the same problem too

I'm afraid you're going to have to invest in a new battery.
