does anyone know a place in kansas city (preferably north of the river) that sells ladybugs?

You could call the local nurserys and see if they have them in stock. Amazon has them 1500 live lady bugs for $10 plus shipping. This time of year some of them will not survive as the heat will be stressful on them. Be sure to release them in your garden after dark as they don't fly at night and will eat 50 times there their weight and lay some eggs which will replenish the supply.

Get a shirt or a cap or something with the logo on it so you can always, always remember your special trip. Be sure to have someone take your picture with Snoopy too. Everyone loves Snoopy!
