they are wrong region code is there any way around this.?

Ask her if she has a computer buddy who can remove the protection from the DVD's..
I believe it's quite a simple task if you get the right software.

She can buy a multiple region player , a small one would do .

tell her to put them on the laptop or computor. they should play on there. usa dvds dont work on my dvd player but ok on laptop but the sound is always too low. and somtimes they have subtitles
