If you were going to write a book about your life, philosophy, experiences, knowledge or the history of your generation, what would it be called?
I would have to wrestle with several titles. "Warrior Woman" might be one. "Forgotten but Never Lost" (?) "I'm Confused This Must be China" (?) "Exit Laughing" (?)
I have to really think about ONE that really sums it up for me.

Mine would have to be an Erma Bombeck type thing....about our five boys being teenagers at the same time. I could call it "It's a Testosterone Thing" or "Why Mom's Locked Herself in the Bathroom Again" (which often became my refuge). I'm just not so sure people would believe all of it.......heck, sometimes even I can't believe some of the things they did.....and that I'm still sane enough to talk about it! lol

Excellent question.
I've been writing a book for the past year. It's about half done.
And I can understand the problems with a book title because I'm having the same problem and have been for the past six months. I want something uplifting, but funny. Oh well, I have until just before publication to find the exact title that will make for a best seller.
Mine's on Senior issues.

I have been keeping a journal since I was 18. I thought I would write a book on myself, but my experience with mom has been edited out and printed into a pamphlet (by me) and shared with people who are experiencing the same problem.
I am considering writing and illustrating a book on "Why Is Grandma So Weird?" Or "Morphing". It will be about my experience with my mom gradually changing into a different person. How it turned out to be Alzheimer's. Solving her mistakes, how it affected my marriage and relationship with my son and daughter-in-law, doing her bills, putting her into a nursing home, getting conservatorship, watching her and others over the years deteriorating.
I want to add some humor and market it for eight year olds to teenagers.

Ever since I started working on a psychiatric unit, I've wanted to write a book and call it "There Is No Laughter On The Funny Farm". It turns out to be a good title for my life too. Since I spent 33 years as a nurse, it's certainly part of my life It's also highly doubtful that someone will steal it. .

"The Buck Stops Here", because of my struggle to use peaceful measures (positive discipline, positive parenting skills) instead of corporal punishment in raising my kids.
Learning not to react and practice dysfunctional behaviors (that were bred into me) is a huge issue and challenge, requiring a lot of re-programming. Additionally, practicing the positive actions is also a big event requiring attention, consistency, etc. I have a double-whammy going on, and it consumes my attention in every aspect of my life, as I interact with various family members, friends, folks in the workplace, folks in public places. I feel like the buck has stopped right here. Here in my life is where the major changes are taking place, where all issues are brought out in the open, where arguments or disparities come to a head.
Hey, you can use your different titles for your chapters! They sound intriguing! Our autobiographies are a 'work in progress' until the very end . . . so, like an essay assignment, you can get all the way to the end before you feel the enlightenment that gives you the title, to wrap it all together. Best wishes!
