They didn't do anything.......................the fairies took them to use as sleeping bags.

The washer eats them! But, it can't digest them so if you take it apart, you will find a wad of socks, hair, and other nasty looking stuff mixed together. We bought a one of those pretty front loader types on pedestals, and after about 6 months, there was water all over the floor. My hubby found a drain plug which as it turns out, has to be drained every 3-4 months!!! Makes no sense. Anyway, there they were, all waded up together, socks of all sizes.

the sock monster got them. i have this problem with 3 boys, i have a basket of odd socks and cannot find the others i cant understand where they go.

You see there is a very finite number of certain things in the world - pens, screws and socks. When someone find their sock someone else loses one.

They are not odd, just got 25 pairs of different coloured/ patterned socks. I`ve got loads.

Perhaps you should get a black dye and just dye them all black - then they will have 25 pairs of socks to wear.

threw them out accidentally while collecting those loads of rubbish around their house frantically when one man's mother, girlfriend, coleague (delete where not applicable or name other person) was about to come to visit and let them know only half an hour in advance

Its not what they did to them. The hamper ate them or maybe they should check behind the dryer.
