Unless the pharmacy has your info on file from previous prescriptions, then yes you will need your card.

If you have never gotten prescriptions from that pharmacy, or if you have changed your insurance, you need to bring your card so that they know who to bill.

When you first take the prescription, you have to show your insurance card so they can get your insurance info and copay info. For refills, you don't, because you're in their system.
