I hate how they portray sex in the movies. You meet a stranger, you fall in love like immediately, and the first time they have sex it's like soooo magical and great, never awkward. The woman always gets off and the man never prematurely ejaculates. Who does this happen to? No one.

Simultaneous lightning and thunder. True if the strike is within 500-1000 feet but nonsense otherwise.
Telephone calls that are picked up on the other end (unseen) immediately.
Automatic handguns that hammercock.
Tires that squeal under acceleration on ANY surface, including dirt or ice.
ps. Forgot -- any vehicle with more than two wheels will explode upon impact, including those with absolutely no flammable fuels on board, such as San Francisco cable cars or horse-drawn carts.
Television newscasts that are always immediately covering The Story, even if the event critical to the plot is taking place late at night on the far side of the world in a 12-person village 50 unpaved miles from the nearest city with electricity. (I suppose this is the modern-day equivalent of "Extry! Extry! Read all about it!" extra-edition newspapers in days gone by. Has anyone, ever, seen a real Extra edition?)

I think dinner is a great idea and the honest way is to share the cost except if one person asked the other out, because it was their choice to go there. I think the movies is awkward for a first date because you may not like the movie but not want to disagree because you'll hurt their feelings, i much rather prefer dinner and perhaps a dance at the pub? I dont think women try to be fake though, some like me, genuinely want to pay the price!

In old movies, death was always so sanitary. The person grabs their stomache and slumps into a coma, quietly dropping to the ground with only a moment of pain.
Now death scenes are more realistic. Often too realistic. They drag us through the shock, gore and horror.
In newer films, beautiful woman are always sluts and exhibitionists.
The writers seem to be constantly looking for any excuse to get them naked for the porn-loving teen boys in the movie theater. Adultery, rape, shower and/or stripping scenes can always be expected.
It was more realistic in the old films when they reached for the light, and the scene faded to black.
They even found an excuse for an obligatory nude scene for the boy's beautiful Amish mother, in the movie "Witness".
Hollywood is selling "soft' porn, and pandering to the violence-loving male viewer's need for blood and guts!

machine guns jamming constantly (if they really were that bad in real life nobody would use them)
another MythBusters was that thing about being shot knocking you back several feet ("blown away")--which they also demonstrated was a crock
any movie shot in San Francisco where somebody in a car pulls right into a parking space (in real SF there are no parking spaces)

I hate how people in movies never take their shoes off when they get inside their house.
I also hate how people rarely say bye to each other in movies when they are talking on the phone.

That if a pretty, southern hooker [Julia Roberts] were able to meet a wealthy, executive, heart-throb [Richard Gere], she'd find eternal love and happiness.

All cops in film/tv have the miranda rights memorized. Everytime i see real cops, they have it on a little card and read it.
