be careful to continuously circulate the gravid women folk a minimum of two weeks formerly they're due. waiting until eventually they appear to be they're waiting to burst will bring about undue rigidity to the fish and probable loss of the fry as properly. The photos coach a woman this is a pair of weeks from birthing,so it would be a stable time to head her, only be gentle. quite of netting the fish, attempt to softly instruction manual her right into a container and circulate her in that. The confident sign that the delivery is close to could be the form of the fry's eyes, which would be seen interior the "gravid spot",the sparkling section only above the vent. make confident that the situations interior the brooder tank are very close to those interior the main effective tank. those internet or plastic breeder traps are no longer as acceptable as a separate tank, and fish hardly do properly in them, they seem to be a stable thought, yet they actually do no longer artwork as properly as a separate tank with a lot of "bunch vegetation" to offer hiding places for the fry. stable success, and save us published on the form.

She doesn't look too ready to give birth. They usually get a lot fatter than that. When you start to notice her acting unusual, like staying by herself or close to the top or bottom of the tank, then I would move her into the breeding tank. She looks like she has a week or two more to go. Good luck! When she is close you may also be able to see the fry's eyes when looking through her stomach.

I dunno why da answer above get downed, looks right to me. Ya see that black spot on the guppy in the pic? That is a gravid spot. That's tellin ya she's a pregnant. When that spots a really grow and gettin a bigger, you should see some dots in there, the eyes of the little babies. That's about the time she's a gonna pop.

all female livebearers are usually pregnant as livebearers can store sperm. All female livebearers are usually on a cycle. Which means they will drop fry every 28-35 days.
Your female is pregnant, but not going to drop for a few days. She isnt big enough.
Heres what i usully tell people, when you notice that she is acting different, and swimming with her fins close to her body, and has her tail lower than her body, thats when i would move her to the breeding trap.
