I do not hate him but I just do not like him. I think that in his time he was a great quarterback but not any more. I fell that the only reason why he is still playing is to break Marino's records. I think the Packers would be better off without him. From what I have seen Arron Rogers looks realy good. Its time to sit Farve on the bench. Do you agree.

I never liked Emitt Smith. I was always a Barry Sanders fan.

I think he has oplayed too long, and it is past time for him to leave.

He can no longer do so gracefully, but that is as much GreenBays fault as his own.

I have never been a fan of Favre, even if I can admire what he has accomplised. But enough is enough already. Out with the old, in with the new.

I'd feel that way even if we were talking about Joe Montana.

I hafta agree with Calisurfer about his motivations. He really does love the game. I just think it is time to hang it up. He'll be in the HOF soon enough. ( though in his shoes, I would probably play as long as they would let me also)

He never stuck around for records or money ( Unlike Emmitt Smith) he plays for the love of the game as you can see whenever he's high fiving people running up the field or correcting his players.

From what I've seen Aaron Rodgers does look a lot more ready to take over than he did the last 2 seasons. Though we don't know when Favre will retire, Aaron Rodgers looks to be the leader.

As of right now, no way are the Packers better off without him. Sure Rodgers has look good, but its preseason, you dont see as many defenses as Brett's seen and beat throughout his career. For this season ( and possibly next) #4 dawns the green and gold giving Green Bay the best chance to win and if some players can emerge he can lead them to a lot of wins.

I strongly disagree with you. I have watched Favre since he came to the Packers in 1992. He is still one of the best to ever play this game and is still better than just about every QB that is young and currently playing. He is not all about breaking Marino's records. He only has one or two more to break. He plays for the love of the Game which is why he has taken so many paycuts over the years to continue to play with the Green and Gold.

As long as GB has Favre on their side, he is still a dangerous threat with the ball in his hands. He can still pick defenses apart. He can still out throw all these young guys that have been in the league less than 10 years. He is still one of the best at the 2 minute drill.

Aaron Rogers isn't a phenominal replacement. His first game last year, that he played, he broke his foot. He is wayyyy too inconsistent right now. He is doing better in preseason but he isn't a calibur starter right now.

Green Bay will be in the Playoffs this year with all the young talent we have on our team. The young talent with rookies are turning out to be dominant players. Enough with this Favre hate. You just wish he was on your favorite team.

Go Green Bay Packers!!!!!!!

How can you not like him? He's a great guy...He might be back for records...but wasn't Emmitt Smith doing the same thing? I never heard anyone talk about him like they do Favre. It happens all the time in sports.

I do agree about Rogers though. He looked great so far in preseason. Great chemistry with the young receivers...and Driver of course...and I think Favre is on his way out after this year for Rogers to step in there. The team is so young right now that Favre shouldn't bother, but he's a competitor...he'll do alright this year. Still, young team, they should pop in the young QB...that way they can have chemistry going into next year with Rogers already. ... Whatever

His best days are behind him but he is still better than most. I think he is too reckless but how many big plays has he made being that way? Lots. If the Packers had a better QB I'd say bench him but they don't. His commitment to winning and knowledge of the game make him more valuable than most QB's out there....and Packers fans LOVE him.

I use to like watching Farve back in the day when he could rifle a ball and break the fingers of his recievers.

but now he needs to retire.
