Good question... You get a star!
In a way, yes. But it's all in the way the person who's saying it would describe it. "Love" to you might not be the same as it would mean to me. Someone would describe it as an almost Godly word demanding the utmost respect. While someone else uses "making love" as the expression of a meaningless one night stand.

I do only say it when I mean it. Yes I do think "some" people use it too freely, I have been hurt by someone saying it just to say it or get what they want or whatever reason they use it for and not mean it. It's sad that people do that, but it's life and you move on.

I have severe Asperger's Syndrome. So I'm technically disabled. When people use the 'r' word freely, it doesn't bother me. And why should it? If someone calls another a 'retard', it doesn't bother me that they choose this word. If people call me, personally, a retard, it offends me for obvious reasons, but I know they're not targetting me for my disability, but because they either don't agree with me or think I did something stupid; the same way it is used for everyone else. I wouldn't get too worried about it. They're not implying the person has a disability or pointing one out. 'Retarded' doesn't necessarily mean disabled, anyhow; it can also mean slow.

I always mean it when I say it. But the word has different meaning depending on who I am saying it to. And the person receiving the word always knows how I am using it. When I tell my husband I love him, he know I mean that I am in love with him. When I tell my friends I love them, they know I love them as friends, and not that I am in love with them romantically. And my husband knows too. I never throw the word around. But it is nice to hear that someone loves you, and it doesn't always have to be used romantically or between family. As for in relationships, I think the word may be used too freely, but usually by people who are too young to know what being IN love is all about. So it does not matter to me. I know what it means when it is said to me, and my friends and family know what it means when I say it to them.

Yes, way to freely. I mean it when I say it. Most people don't know the meaning of the word. They use it and abuse it. lol.

i can't say it unless I mean it.
Yes, it is used way too freely and I have a bad habit of telling people not to say it to me unless they honestly mean it. I know when it's just words.
I say I love the P&S people, but we all know that is in a different way. I love them as a fun and decent group of people I like to be around.

People defiantly use it to freely. I think that the initial saying it to someone, they might think that they mean it. But after they break up, they realize they never did.

Till today, the word LOVE has no definitions. It must not be done only by words as "Action Speak Louder Than Words" in this case though.
Cheers :)
