everyone has good ideas but what I have learned from experience with blood accidents is that HOT water will keep the stain. MUST use COLD water to remove the stain. something about the temperature that makes it set in no matter what product you use. I use Oxyclean for everything but for blood stains it wont dissolve in cold water so try one of the other over-the-counter stain removers like maybe Zout! and let it sit for a day. Now that you have already put hot water on it--probably- it will never be as new, but I agree use a mattress cover even the padded soft ones will do fine. Oh and after its dry, maybe dust some baby powder over it for sweeter smelling bedroom.

Well, you need to blot all the excess water out of your mattress and air it out.. So, you don't get mold or anything.. Run a fan in the room to circulate some air.... When the spot is once again dry.. You can use a bit of peroxide on the mattress and let it sit and blot with a damp towel/dry towel to dry.. Peroxide might leave a white spot but, it's better than blood I suppose.. Then go to walmart/Target wherever and pick up a waterproof washable mattress pad- so if you have an "accident" in the future you can just wash the whole pad.... Good luck

Dab the mattress with chilly water first (warm might 'bake' the stain in). that should eliminate all or maximum of it. Then use warm water and organic and organic detergent and rinse with chilly water. save the water to a minimum as you will ought to get the mattress only approximately dry formerly utilising it. chilly water is likewise stable at getting blood out of clothing/ undies. My mum instructed me approximately this. i might advise you get a mattress protector.

Most of us gals just turn over the mattress.
Get a mattress cover to protect your mattress. One that has plastic or rubber in it. Ask a clerk at the department store. Don't be shy, we have all done this at one time or another.

try Oxy Clean. it got grease off of my husband's shirt and chocolate off of a kitchen towel. blood stains are hard to remove. also i know this seems weird and you might not like it but maybe invest in a plastic cover for your matress to prevent further "seepage" or what i have done is sleep with a towel under me when it is that "time"

Bleach, CLR, and Baking soda.
If that doesn't work, get some black dye from your local department store.
