Hey everyone! I'm doing a project on the four earth science branches (astronomy, geology, meteorology, and oceanography) and I'm trying to make it interesting. Does anyone know any interesting facts about any of these four subjects that I could add to my presentation?
I appreciate any help!

Thanks and God Bless

Make sure you define each one properly.

If I were you I'd pick out several huge discoveries in each branch that have changed the way we view the planet or the universe.

Astronomy: This is endless. There have been so many huge discoveries. Maybe use some stuff we saw with the Hubble.

Geology: Plate tectonics is the basis for all geological process. It revolutionized the science. Also, petroleum geology is very important these days.

Meteorology: How we have been able to use radar and other systems to better track and predict the weather.

Oceanography: Ocean circulation, which keeps the planet alive and how it influences weather. There's a lot here, too.

Maybe try to find some big names in each field as well. As a geologist I can list, Lyell, Hutton, Jeffreys, Lehmann, etc. and talk about their contributions.

Research all four of them a find what is the most interesting to you about each. Base your project on teaching people those aspects about each subject that you like.
