I like Lance and Donovan, but not valentine for a boy. Lance Donovan even sounds good together!

Donovan is excellent, Lance is ok, and I actually really like Valentine but realistically I don't think I would ever name a child that.

Valentine is a bit unconventional, and truthfully I think that he will most likely be teased because kids are cruel.
Donovan isn't unusual, I know a few kids with that name and they have the nickname Donny (Donnie).
Lance isn't strange, its a nice name. I think it fits better as a middle name then a first, but it sounds great either way.

Good Luck! :)

Donovan is cute but Lance and Valentine are awful.

Shorten Valentine to just Val on the birth certificate. Then let people guess if it's Valiant, Valentine, or named for Val Kilmar. You're going to shorten the name by the age of 2, anyway, just because it's too long to say constantly.

Personally, I like the name Lance.

Lance is my favorite out of those names. It's different without being too different.
My 9 year old brother informed us very casually that he has a new friend called Rainbow Star. He didn't seem in the slightest bit fazed. I think strange and interesting names are just becoming more common nowadays. people want their childrens names to be uniqe, and there is something good that comes from this. It helps children realise they don't all need to wear the same things, say the same things, act a certain way etc.

They're a bit odd...Lance is the least odd, Valentine the most. Not what I would name my kids.

Despite what others are saying- the child would NOT get made fun of for having these names. I teach kindergarten and a few years ago I taught 5th grade- kids learn to accept even the weirdest names.

if your having a boy i wouldn't name it Valentine because is sounds too girly and Lance is a bit too common it also reminds me of a trip to the doctor my favorite would be Donovan or Donavan

I knew several men named Lance. Donovan is an okay name... Not my favorite, but okay. He would porbably be nicknamed Donny. But I think Van is a cute nickname. Valentine??? um, he will be made fun of. Regularly. Espically by boys with common names like Josh.
