I just started dating a guy who is not circumcised and occasionally there is an bad odor when the foreskin is pulled back. Is this an issue of being uncircumcised and not washing properly? Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Tell him to just take 5 to 10 seconds when he showers to pull it back and wash underneath it and that shouldn't be a problem.

Unless he masturbates afterwards and doesn't clean well up (sometimes there can be leaks after masturbation).

But yeah, it's nothing a splash of water and a little rub can't fix.

This is not just because he is uncircumcised. It is more likely because he is not washing his penis properly.
It is essential for natural guys to pull their foreskin right back in the shower/bath and wash it. It doesnt have to be an intricate cleaning operation, just a quick 10secs every day. After urinating he should pull his foreskin back as well to get rid of any excess pee!
Don't be put off by this one bad example of a smelly uncircumcised penis. Its the natural way god made us, and the vast majority (85%) of the world's men are uncircumcised and I expect the majority of them clean theirs properly to avoid such odors.

It is just because he isn't washing properly. I'm natural and have no problem with smell. All he need to do is pull the skin back each day to wash it and when he pees. Maybe his father didn't teach him how to? ask him if he does.
Dont listen to those who say the uncut guy is dirty either. We are the ones who are natural not them. If is was so bad to be this way then why are there so many of us in the world (85% of all men are natural)

It could be some issues. Not all uncircumcised guys smell, and not all circumcised guys don't smell. Maybe he doesn't clean properly, like you guessed. Or it could just be he's naturally more of a smelly person. Do you have absolutely no smells ever down there?

It is all a matter of hygene If a dude takes a shower everyday and washes his unit good by pulling back on the skin and soaping it up there should be no problem with odor. I shower each day and wash my unit good I have for years my parents taught me how to clean myself when i was young. never had any odor or infections.

Basically my dear his personal hygiene could do with being improved. He should wash him self at least one day puling back his foreskin and washing the end and all of penis as part of having a daily shower.

If he is not doing this then you should tell that you will not make love to him, as it it could affect you if he has a smegma under his foreskin it could seriously affect your health. I f he cant be bothered to shower everyday then quite frankly show him the door

It sounds to me as if this chap hasn't been taught how to wash himself correctly.

As a young boy his mother should have taught him to pull back his foreskin and wash himself with plenty of soap and water. As a young man he should still be doing this and every day.

There would be a smell if he hasn't been washing correctly.

After sex he should ensure he washes himself too. Some men seem to jump out of bed in the mornings, shave, wash their faces and forget other places that need washing.

You should shower with him and teach him yourself. You can incorporate this act as part of your foreplay. If you find there is still a smell, may I suggest you make a doctors appointment and find out the reason.

ask him if he pulls back his foreskin before peeing? if not then that is why there is a bad odour. Other than that not pulling back the foreskin when washing in the shower could be the culprit as well.

If it's neither there may be possibility of infection.
