I'm think that probably Puerto Rico will be the first. Then Mexico or the Dominican Republic but only when the economies are good enough to afford a team. Plus with advent of hypersonic air travel it should be a lot easier to expand worldwide. I'd say within 20 years.

I'm sure a team in Latin America would be very popular, but I wonder if it could economically compete. The average fan in Latin America cannot afford to spend the amount of money it takes to attend a ballgame in America. Additionally, I can't see how a Latin American team would be able to secure a big enough television contract to offset the fact they are getting less revenues from people attending the games.

Best team is from Domenican Replublic, we have most of their best players in the US. Same with Venezuela and Puerto Rico. We have their best players playing for MLB U.S. At least we are having the "world cup" every three years and we can get to compete with global teams.

nope not unless they move the devil rays or marlins away from florida. there are too many major league teams and its odd they need to contract instead of expand. expansion has hurt baseball more than any other sport. baseball needs to eliminate 2-4 teams.

we play football (soccer for americans) and rugby.

why would we ever want to play such a silly / girly game???
