My cars check engine light appears on the dash board when I turn the key once so does check battery and check petrol, then it goes this is my first car so I'm not to sure, does it mean something is wrong?

No, most cars do that. It's like it's on-board computer checking everything before the light goes out to show everything is OK.

Don't worry about it (unless it stays on).

If they all go out once the engine's running, that's fine. The only one you should have left is the brake warning 'cos the handbrake's still on (plus the lights-on warning, if appropriate).

All the warning lights are designed to light up when you turn the ignition on, as a check that they're working, then go out on starting.

If the engine check light goes out, then there is nothing wrong.If it stays on, there there is a problem with the fuel injection system.

This is a system check, making sure all systems are operating properly. When the "dummy" lights stay on, attention is needed.

Read the manuel it is just checking the system. Worry good style if they come on when you are driving stop like yesterday and get help

that's normal function for cars to do this means all the light are working,if you,ll read the owners manual it will tell you how all these things operate in the car,good luck with it.

if the lights stay on after you start the car yes you have a problem but if they go out after car is started no problem

everything is fine all cars do it. it is just to show you that they work
you only need to worry if they stay on

do they go out when the car is running? yes? then it`s all good
