how do i patch hard plastic pool? patch wont work will silicon?

pool has u shaped hole can i go around it with silicon or some other product to patch. please help

Try using plumbers epoxy putty, or plumbers gel epoxy with a plastic patch

I don't think any kind of glues or silicon works on hard plastic I've tried everything nothing seems to stick very good u can sand the surface around the area you need to patch and use epoxy glue i tried that on my sons pool it held for awile

Experience has taught me to buy a new one! Patching either didn't work or didn't last for long.
