Your wrong he had no WMD, he didn't harbor terrorist, he had his borders completely surrounded and shot terrorist on the spot, their was no terrorists in Iraq until Bush started this uncalled for war with nothing but lies. If he had nothing to us who is Bush to tell him what do as long as he wasn't doing anything to us, To be honest I don't mourn him but the people in Iraq were a lot better off when Saddam was in power.
Where have you been all this time, Bush & Cheney both admit that Saddam had no WMD's or terrorists that was complete lie from Bush to start a preemptive war built on lies breaking the Constitution. You need to read up on your history
your still in 2000. That is their country to do with as they please, Bush doesn't own the people of Iraq, the people own Iraq, your living in the past.

Every night I whisper a small invocation to God Almighty to treat Saddam Hussein better than we did here on earth. We failed that great leader miserably.
Saddam Hussein, though an appropriate level of toughness, managed to keep a motly bunch of diverse groups in line. He maintained order, and that is paramount in society. Imagine if you had a gang-infested neighborhood, with the Bloods, the Crips, and the Gangster Disciples all living in one crowded area. You think some wimpy, foo foo, bleading heart Alan Alda- or Phil Donahue-type is gonna manage to keep everyone from killing each other? Hell no, but Saddam, with little fuss or fanfare, and with a quiet dignity that underspoke his position as indisputed ruler of all Iraq, kept the peace. Sometimes that meant getting really tough, but it sure worked, didn't it?
As I'm sure is the case with many other people, I have a special place in my heart for the youngest victims of our unprovoked hostility against Saddam: his two ambitious and dignified sons. These are boys that would make any father proud.
Now I'm not saying these boys were Sunday School angels, but remember they lived in a culture that is rife with violence anyway, so you have to take what they did in context. There are a lot of lurid accounts regarding what Saddam and his sons did, but they are obviously biased. For example, in the link below you can read: "As Iraqi ruler, Saddam delivered the broken bodies of his victims to their families. He was aiming at the creation of “a new man” in Iraq, just as Hitler and Stalin had tried to do in Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia. He may well have made his sons into psychopaths."
Is this a laugh or what? Saddam's sons weren't a couple of corny, helping-an-old-lady-across-the -street Boy Scouts, but how could you characterize them as psychopaths? Uday reportedly tortured his Olympic athletes who embarrassed him, but the reputation of all Iraq was being tarnished by these lazy, clumsy athletes. Maybe they deserved a little whack on the fanny, just to keep them in line.
Yeah, I kind of miss the good old days. Saddam was a larger than life, colorful character. We'll all miss his antics. They jokingly called him "The Butcher of Baghdad", but he was really just like any husband, father, and ruler of a large nation. He knew how to live life with gusto, and he was a master at getting rid of those annoying people that were an impediment to his peaceful rule.
Saddam may have had a mean streak. He liked tormenting people. Some call that torture; others call it stern discipline. Who are we to judge him? He had a tough job. But he carried out his Presidential duties with a passion and chutzpa that other world leaders must envy. Who else could so effortlessly get away with violating 17 UN resolutions? This guy really had a set! Wimpy world leaders must have just been seething with jealousy. Saddam showed them up for the little girly men they really are!
Now, once Saddam seriously considered killing his son Uday, but that shows you what a selfless person Saddam is. He was quite willing to sacrifice even part of his own family for the greater good. Now that's something you'd read about in the Bible! He's kind of like a modern day Abraham.
All his Baathist friends wish he were back. They remember with fondness the good times and the rousing parties. Enlightened people like me, that can appreciate the grueling hard work required from a dictator like Hugo Chavez and Kim Jung Il, will miss him too. Maybe some Iraqis won't miss him, mainly those malcontents who are causing mayhem in the streets of Iraq right now.

I do believe that he is the only person who could restore order to Iraq. I know he is a evil dude but it takes and evil dude to control the evil people of Iraq.

I'm upset that the guy who attacked us, Osama bin Laden is still at large. I was against the war in the beginning because I think all our efforts should be on that creep.

I am sure there are many people who do, their friends, families, and those who believed in their cause, no matter how unpopular it is to us.
They after all were human beings.

Mourn.
And you want to talk about revisionist history just look at your first two sentences. "He had WMDS's WE all know it. He harbored Terrorists we all know it."
Umm really, where is your proof? Mister revisionist history.
