Ive always put 20 dollars in toward my car but never filled it up. Here they make you pay in advance so I was wondering if you pay them first, fill up, then go back inside to collect your change? I didn't want to ask anybody I know to sound like an idiot. Or if you can swipe your debit card outside there and do it that way. And why are people discussing how much it costs to fill up their tanks? like for an SUV? Or an import like mine? What difference does it even make!? If one needed to they could have a 50 gallon tank added to their vehicle. I'm sure they are referring to gas efficiency... is there some code for vehicle manufacturers that states they must install a certain size tank in proportion to the MPG of the engine?

If you prepay for gas, you can pump up to the amount of gas you have paid for. If your tank does not hold that much, you can go back and get your change. (or if my car is next to you, I will allow you to put the extra gas in my tank LOL)

If there is a pay at the pump, you can also use a credit card to pay without going inside!

Many people fill their tanks, rather than just putting in a small amount. For example, I almost always fill my car when I stop for fuel. The only time I do is if I am very low on gas, and am in an area with high priced gasoline. If I know that I can get gas for 10-15 cents a gallon cheaper down the road, I will only put in enough fuel to get me there!!

People look at the cost of everything in a personal way! If It cost me $30 to fill my vehicle last week, and the prices are higher this week, I relate not to the cost per gallon, but the cost of my filling my vehicle! What cost me $30 lat week costs me $33.00 this week. I see the increased cost of the total purchase!

Many people like a larger tank in the vehicle, because they do not have to stop for fuel as often. Stopping for gas takes time, and is never something you look forward to, so the further you can travel on a tank of fuel, the better it is!
