Unfortunately, no. My wife twists things around a lot and is jealous to the point of unhealthyness. No big lies, though. I don't put myself in situations that I make a big mistake, relationship-wise. I love her way too much for that.

And that is one of the three greatest mysteries of parenting.

Parents spend the first few years of your life trying to get you to walk, talk, and tell the truth. Then they turn around and spend the rest of it telling you to sit down, shut up, and why they lied to you.

But for the real world, it's always about the situation. You should never lie to hurt someone else, or in any situation in which it's important not to lie. But a lot of life requires some miscommunication and/or misinformation. You don't tell a client they are stupid, even if they are. You don't shout out "FIRE" just to get better seats at the movie theater.

Lies are about balance.

You can be 100% honest all the time, but your going to hurt people's feelings a lot. Sometimes, a gentle white lie is the only socially acceptable way. For example, "what a beautiful baby!" when, in reality, the kid is butt ugly.

Thank you!

60% honest with people I work with,
100% honest with friends,
100% honest in relationships.

Yes and unfortunately people don't like that. If you are too honest they consider it a violation or a rude thing. People don't like to hear the truth.

Yes I can be, but at times I'm not. It's not that I'm fibbing, but that I don't give details to everything.
