Back here where I'm from .... when you tell somebody that they have a green thumb, it means they can grow good gardens or flowers. They can grow anything.

lol everyones talking about plants but i reckon your referring to the thums up/thumbs down. if you are then it just means its green because YOU did the thumbs up. thats all, oh yeah and once its on it stays.
