My fiance and I are going in October of '08 for our honeymoon. I've done so much research it's ridiclous.
Also, you can check out Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. It's an extra charge and you have to buy tickets in advance, but it's so much fun. It's not just for kids either. The cast members make sure that everyone has a good time. When in Adventureland get a Dole Whip. It's a pineapple/ice cream thing and it's so good. It's kind of hidden so just ask a cast member to point you in the right direction. Pretty much every ride is not-to-be-missed. Especially if you have never been there before.
When at MGM besure to stay late for the fireworks show, Fantasmic. It's amazing. Get there early to get a seat. I love Muppet Vision 3D and the Tower of Terror. Do everything. It's so worth it.
As for Universal....buy the universal express pass. It lets you get on all the rides with almost no wait. Bot parks are fun. Not quite Disney, but very thrilling. A little more adult I think.
Have fun. I'm jealous. I wish I was going this October, but I have to wait another year.
Oh....and for Disney info try

Everything!!! MGM doesnt take a whole day but Magic Kingdom will, see if Magic K has magic evening hours (if ur staying at a resort) and go to Magic that day and stay all night. You could also go to Magic after MGM b/c MGM closes early (unless it's magic hours). As far as Downtown Disney, go there late, like after MGM closes or Magic closes, you can go play at Disney Quest until 12am. IT's not just for kids either! they have the best ride called Buzz Lightyear's Astroblaster!! it's the best twist on bumper cars! Make time to eat at the parks, they have GREAT food! I love Sci-Fi at MGM-best ribs ever! and 50's Prime time Cafe -also in MGM has great meatloaf! I'm going in Oct. too, the more research you do the more chance you have of seeing and doing everything! so check out allearsnet.com or disneyworld.com and start planning. If you can go to Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party! i cant wait! have a good time yourself!

whats up. I stay approximately half-hour from Disney international and characteristic been throughout each and every season. You picked an incredible season to come back. October is super, by using fact the strains are no longer too long. Exceptions would be needless to say the main significant rides, yet even those strains it is beneficial to anticipate 20 minutes if the experience is previous and 40ish if the experience is new. climate-sensible, it is often interior the mid 70's to mid eighty's that factor of three hundred and sixty 5 days throughout the time of the day. night/night it is a splash cooler, i could propose which you have some sweatshirts. oftentimes the locals are in denims and hooded sweatshirts by then, yet travelers are in shorts and tees throughout the time of the day, upload a sweatshirt for night. The present day is an incredible place to stay by using fact it is on the monorail. you are able to surely stroll around the line to the Magic Kingdom (i want to propose strolling extremely of monorail to MK), and additionally you are able to hop the monorail to Epcot, and a bus to ther different parks. October's incredibly no longer the busy season, so which you should no longer ought to difficulty approximately too many crowds. needless to say, there will be strains, yet no longer something like in case you went interior the summertime/Christmas/Spring wreck.

there are many good rides in the parks. If I were going on a honeymoon, I would make sure I visited the House of Blues (which is, I think, in downtown Disney). I've been there, and it is across the street from Disney Quest. Also, don't rule out the water parks, which are still open in early October. (we don't have to worry about snow plows down here.....).

All the rides are amazing, and the shows, do not miss the Great Movie Ride or Fantasmic
Downtown Disney is an easy shopping day, you can ship items to your room or home.
