Do you mean Virtual Memory?
If so, Virtual Memory is a portion of your hard-drive space allocated to 'acting' like physical RAM. It does improve system performance.
Best to set it to a 'System Managed Size'. If you prefer to have a 'set' size, Virtual Memory is typically to be set at 1.5 - 2.5 times physical memory.

Your motherboard probably has 64 or 128MB integrated video ram. video ram is separate from system ram. Unless you have a separate video card in one of your motherboard slots, you dont have very much video ram. You probably have enough for most things, unless you play a lot of demanding games.
