As groups, I like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Moody Blues... etc.

Songs, gotta go with "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison. "Paint it Black" by the Rolling Stones. "Love You Madly" by The Doors. "Cecilia" by Simon and Garfunkel. And "Day Dream Believer" by Neil Diamond/ The Monkeeys.

Too many to name, best I can do on short notice.

More groups than songs. So many to list but I like Beach Boys, Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons, Bobby Vee, Gene Pitney, and a lot of groups that only had a few hits, Maurice Williams and the Zodiaca, Buddy Holley( even though he was dead),The Turtles, The Shirelles, Dixie Cups,Fabian, Del Shannon, The Del Vikings,Righteous Brothers, Everly Brothers,Dave Clark 5,The Walker Brothers.....on and on and on. Guess it's obvious, I am a little past 30 years old.

I kind of feel weird answering this question because I am only 27, but it's such a great musical time period, here's my list:

Dirty Water by the Standells
House of the Rising Sun by the Animals
The Acid Queen by the Who
Norwegian Wood by the Beatles
Won't Get Fooled Again by the Doors
Within You Without You by the Beatles
Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles

There's tons more. That's just a few of my favorites off the top of my head.

Anything by The Beach Boys, The Doors, Paul Rever and the Raiders, Herman's Hermits, The Monkees or any number of Motown groups. Also anything by the Who or the Rolling Stones.

Won't be fooled again is by The Who, not the Doors!
