am in by 42 he is year younger....i have my own place.
i want to get on with my life...he is not saying anything...

what? that question is too scattered.
if you've been dating someone for 14 years, and no commitment, it's time to move on...it was time about 10 years ago, before the kid (is the 9 yr old yours?).
that question was horribly worded. he's 41 and living with his sister? you have a kid with him? wtf are you saying, my dear?

Sweetheart it totally sounds like this guy is TERRIFIED of commitment! he cant even commit to get his own apartment for Gods sake! If he doesnt know he loves u and wants to marry you after this many years then he never will. He is in no hurry because you have let him get away with it for this long! He is using your love for him against you! Let him know u are giving him one month to get his crap together- get his own place and make a solid commitment to you! Life is way too short to play games! If he doesnt want to change then find a man who will love u and always put your feelings and needs before his own! You deserve nothing less! Good luck to u

your post is not very clear , but i think you are saying that you have been with your boyfriend 14 years, and he doesnt want to marry. He has lived at his sisters house for 9 years. And both of you are in your 40s. AM i right?
Right.. bottom line is, YOU wanna get married. But HE doesnt want to marry you. You both want different things. If you stay with him, you have to accept that he DOESNT want marriage. If you want to stay with him, then do so, but dont complain about it. It is what you have chosen to do.
Alternatively you could choose to finish with him - properly, and find someone that does want to marry you. Whatever your current boyfriend says is irrelevant, whether he understands or not is irrelevant. If you REALLY WANT to finish it, you will.
No-one can make this decision for you - you have to decide whether being with him is worth putting his needs before yours. Good luck
