I want to paint just the trim in the to be baby's room. I have heard that it is okay to do so as long as you have the room well ventilated. Windows open, fans on etc.
I might need to do a little touch up on the walls - but only in a few spots.
Do you think this amount of painting plus the precautions I am taking is safe?

My husband is in the picture but he's not much of a painter. He gets it all over the carpet. He's my heavy lifter/mover guy. :)

I don't think you can buy paint with lead in it anymore. Didn't they stop putting lead in paint after 1978?

There is absolutely NO evidence to suggest that LATEX paint effects a pregnant mother in any way.
I painted my sons nursery, walls, trim and a mural while pregnant. And he's an exceptional baby.
Keep it well ventilated and take a lot of breaks from the fumes.

As long as it is Water based paint (NO OIL BASED) and like you said the room was well ventilated, then that should be fine. If you want you can almost wear one of those white masks that goes over your nose and mouth.
Good luck and enjoy painting and decorating your baby's room!!!!!!

With a number of issues interior the being pregnant, you will locate that in the process moderation, a number of issues are secure. whether, a number of those self same issues that are 'secure sparsely' are no longer inevitably counseled except incredibly needed. medical doctors incredibly hesitate to declare "do no longer try this, do no longer try this" for many things in the process your being pregnant for motives i could under no circumstances somewhat make certain (laptop?). yet once you turn it around and ask "might it extra suited if i did no longer try this" they may be "oh, definite, it would be extra suited, yet it is not saying you won't have the capacity to do it." Yea, properly, top. i think of your well-being practitioner allow you to to understand this is effective, only to make confident this is ventilated and you do no longer circulate on the ladder or rigidity your self out too plenty. i think of they had additionally say it would be plenty extra suited if the toddler's dad did it quite of you.

If possible, wear a mask and yes, ventilate the area well... otherwise, you can also get low odor paint too. Might be a little more expensive, but worth it!

Yes, everything will be fine as long as it is well ventilated and you are not in there while the paint is drying.

I think with those precautions, you should be just fine. I stained a whole deck (of course that was outside) while pregnant. Wear gloves, and if the smell is a bit much, then get a mask.

you shouldn't use paint thinner or primer but as long as you're in a well ventilated area and using latex paint you'll be fine.

There are paints these days that have no VOCs (volatile organic counpounds, the fumes) so if you can use one of those it would be safest.
