Landlord: why did Israel in 1948 go in and wipe out hundreds of thousands of Palestinians when becoming a new state. How did Chaim Weitzmann 'persuade' Truman to become the first president. He was not spiritual!

No problem here. Derek is right, it's a PACT which means they plan to work together with us against terrorism. I guess they are as worried about Iran as we and many others over there are.

I would like to see others over there do the same thing then maybe all of us could strangle the supply of arms Iran is giving to Iraq to use in their fight against us.

I am pleased with this, it's about time we stood with Israel and let the world know that we are not ashamed to do so. As a Christian in a nation that was founded in Christian beliefs we owe it to our Jewish brothers to insure each others security. After all the Christian faith has Jewish roots.

What better ally against the terrorist then their long time victims? Israel has been defending themselves against terrorism for a long time, I am happy that some of our efforts are joint.

The mid-east may hate us because we don't agree that the Jewish people should be whipped out, but it certainly should not make us "sad". I would rather be on hte side of good and life, then evil and murder.

I guess I'm a little thick. What exactly is the issue with this anyway...? And it's PACT, not ACT, if that makes any difference to you.

You mean they didn't tell you?!!! It isn't a secret. It isn't anymore comprehensive than amny other U.S.-Israeli agreements. Truthfully, Israel and the U.S. have signed a mutual security pact. It is not a law and is not the Homeland Security Act.

The Bible states "Those who bless Israel will be blessed, those who curse Israel will be cursed." We need this pact.
