It is a 1987 S-10 short bed. It is in decent condition with working tailgate and taillights. I need to sale it to get it out of my garage, but I don't really know what they are worth. If anyone could help me out, I would appreciate it. I just don't know where I could even look to see what the bed of a truck is worth. Thanks ahead of time.

Call around to some local bodyshops and salvage yards to see what they would charge for a used bed---you may even want to let the bodyshops know you have one for sale---maybe at a discount--- in case they get in a truck to fix that was rear-ended or very rusty. My shop use to get them for around 6-700.00 complete but that was a few years ago. You may also want to find out from salvage yards how many years of trucks that bed would fit.

It's probably not worth the time and effort. If you figure that you'll spend $20 bucks on the ad, and you can maybe get $50 for the bed, then you'll only make $30. You're better off taking it to a scrapyard. They'll probably give you $10-15. You will save yourself the headache of selling it yourself.

If it were a newer model bed, I'd say that it was worth more. But, on a small truck model that's 20 years old...there's just not much market for these things.

Not much really. You might find a body shop that would give you a little, or at least come get it out of your way.

50 to 200 depends on what you call decent.
