Hi there, I think it is still a pretty new thing, but you can combine a trip and volunteering in one. They mentioned it on the morning show that I listen to a few months ago and i'm considering going to Africa next year to do this. And if I enjoy doing it, I may make it a yearly thing. If you have heard of it, would you do it? If you already do it, do you recommend it? What company do you use to make your arrangements? Do they have a website I can look at? I already know of Voluntourism.org. Thank you!!

I've done that already particularly in public understanding of science, technology and environment (PUSTE) here in the Philippines. We've joined a lot of activities like tree planting, which is of course, showing volunteerism. And some of the PUSTE activities were not held in our place so it can be cosidered as a trip, or Voluntourism. It is so good to engage into volunteerism activities because in the bottomline of it, you will realize that you've contributed much on it.
