I have played Ouija board. It is a board with letters and numbers on it. Youa ask it questions and then you use the pointer to guide you to letters and numbers to spell things out. I don't know that it works. When I played it, it didn't predict anything for me that has happened.

An extension of one of my previous answers.

The term "Ouija" is derived from the French "oui" (English: "yes") and the German/Dutch "ja" (also English: "yes"). An alternative ouija story suggests the name ouija was revealed to inventor Charles Kennard during a ouija séance and was claimed to be an Ancient Egyptian word meaning "good luck", although this is ouija theory known to be incorrect. Ouija It has also been suggested the word ouija was inspired by the name of the Moroccan city Oujda.

The ouija board is an instrument which can be used to contact or channel spirits of the deceased. A modern day ouija board is usually a wooden or cardboard device. The ouija board is inscribed with the alphabet, the words 'yes', 'no', 'hello', 'goodbye' and the numbers 0 to 9. With the ouija board there is usually a slideable ouija piece of apparatus on rotating castors or wheels with an ouija pointer. The ouija operators of the ouija board lightly place their fingers on the slideable ouija device and wait for it to move. When the ouija pointer comes into contact with, or moves over one of the letters, numbers or words printed on the ouija board, a record of this ouija message is kept and later used to see if an intelligible message can be obtained.

Like anything else in life, it can be safe or dangerous, this has direct bearing on the person using the board. There is nothing inherently evil about this, that is just other peoples insecurities being reflected. And it is not a tool of the devil as many may have you believe.

A ouija or spirit board is any flat surface printed with letters, numbers, and other symbols, to which a planchette or movable indicator points, supposedly in answer to questions from people at a seance. The fingers of the participants are placed on the planchette that then moves about the board to spell out messages. Ouija Boards are usually spelled out as "Wee-gee". Ouija is a trademark for a talking board currently sold by Parker Brothers [1] but the word has become a genericized trademark to refer to any talking board. In popular culture these boards are a spiritual gateway used to contact the dead; however, the only proof of this are the various accounts of users, which have not been scientifically proven.I believe that they work though.

An Ouija Board is used to summon spirits, evil ones, such as demons. Although I have never played it myself and do not plan to, I have heard stories of how people get freaked out after they are done using them. I am told that if you do not close the game properly, the spirits will haunt you for the rest of your lives.

Basically this is how it works: you ask it a question with your hand on the game piece. After that it spells out your answer and so forth. It's nothing special but is obviously evil. If I were you, I'd stay away from it. It can become unhealthily addictive.

Don't Get Trapped with Ouija boards

To those who continue to use the board will become obsessed or possessed!

"The Ouija board is a vehicle which makes it easy for negative spirits and demonic forces to enter this plane of existence." cautioned that evil spirits or demonic forces often gain the trust of people experimenting with Ouija boards by answering several questions truthfully and providing predictions.

"Once they have gained the trust of their victims, it is easy for the entity to move in and take over either by strongly influencing that person, or by outright possession," .

People who are untrained and unsophisticated in the field of the paranormal and supernatural should never play with devices such as the Ouija board!

A Ouija Board is a form of divination. It is decorated with numbers and letters, and has a portable pointer device. The questioner is supposed to pose a question to "the universe" (for lack of a better term), and the pointer will move from letter to letter/number to number or a combination there-of to spell out an answer.
The Ouija Board is considered to be black majik, even among most pagans. Very few practitioners of any form of divination will recommend its use.

It's a gimmick. It can be fun when you get right into it with lights and stuff, but it's been proven to be wrong. Just ask Penn and Teller! They've done experiments where they had people do it in the dark and without their knowledge they turned the board upside down. The people were pointing to the letters the way they would have been if the board was rightside up. It showed that people moved the thingy. They don't mean to, but once there's a slight pull, one naturally follows thru with it and moves it without really knowing. So ya, it's all just for fun.

The Ouija board is not something to fool with. People use it thinking that spirits answer questions for them. It is dabbling in the occult, which the Bible says is dangerous. NOT all spiritual happenings are GOOD ONES as we are surrounded by EVIL spirits as well, and they LOVE to deceive.

Stay clear of these stupid ouija boards. You open yourself up to the spiritual realm that God says you arent capable of understanding OR controlling.

It is a board used to contact the spirit world. I do believe it works for those that are sensitive. I have heard that it contacts the lower end of the spectrum, and that one should be careful with its use. This may be an old wives' tale, but it is always good to be cautious.
