You're right, no crying since there's no air yet and for vocal noises there has to be air passing over the vocal chords. You can feel hiccups but they wouldn't be a high-pitched sound on a doppler. Most likely you're getting some kind of feedback on your doppler, it's a sound pickup/speaker system just like a microphone is so sometimes you do get odd echoey noises!

THe baby has no air in your womb so there is no way it could possibly make any vocal noises in there.
I believe the sound of your voice is air being passed over the vocal cords. Those dopplers make really weird noises sometimes though. If you get the mic to close to the speaker it will make a wailing sound sometimes.

The baby can not cry in the womb. Hiccup, yes. Odds are it was a hiccup of the baby moving and or kicking that you heard.

i think its too soon for the hiccups but i could be wrong. babies do hiccup in the womb as they practice swallowing and you will be able to tell when this happens a the bump hiccups too! babies dont cry in the womb - they have no stimulus to provide pain as they are cushioned by the amniotic fluid.
the sounds may have just been from baby moving around.

The sounds you hear are:
1. Gasses moving through your intestines.
2. The fluid around the baby sloshing.

ya the baby cant cry yet because it has no air in the lungs, it could have just been the baby hitting or kicking the uterus. Good luck to you
Just a guess though.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to hear something if baby is hiccupping, but not crying. Babies don't cry persay until birth. I would ask your doc what they think it could be. For all we know, it could be your tummy digesting something!
