Of course NOT! I had my first at 29 and I just turned 30. We are starting to plan our second and there will most likely be a third. Actually, 30 years old is the average here in Quebec, Canada that mothers decide to have their FIRST.

i think it's best to wait till you get married. Lord forbid, but if something happens and ya'll separate before the wedding, you'd be pregnant. At least you can fit in your wedding dress and not be 8 months pregnant. It's your day, You want to look and feel beautiful. I'd suggest waiting till ya'll get married. Let it be a honeymoon pregnancy. 30 is not to old at all to have a baby. Best of luck to you, and congratulations on your engagement!!

30 isn't too old at all. i got married when i was 20 am now 26 and we still don't have any children. when we got married i really thought that after we had been married for a year we'd get pregnant and have a baby our second year... when that year came i decided we could wait one more year. and every year after that i decided we'd wait one more year. i have realized that there is NO rush to have kids. because once you have them.... they're there forever and you and your husband won't be "alone" together ever again. enjoy your time alone while you can and realize that you should have some quality time together to enjoy marriage because it's harder than you think... i don't know how but it is.
good luck!

i'm 31 and pregnant with my first so no I don't think it's too old...as a matter of fact I think you're late 20's early 30's is the perfect time to have a child. You are out of the selfish, it's all about me, phase (for the most part) and you're more patient and confident in yourself...or at least I am.
Wait and enjoy your marriage for a least a year and when you're ready you'll know. Thefirst year of marriage can be very difficult and throwing a child into that mix can really stress things...
Good luck to you though

Ummm 30 is not too old. I had my kids at 21, 23, 33, and 34 and I am now 37 and trying for one more. We have 4 boys and would like a little girl. I had a cousin that got pregnant on her 40th birthday with her fourth.

I had my 3rd child a few months before I turned 30. I was very good timing for us. I agree with waiting until you've been married a while. This is a change that will need some time to adjust to.

I was 33 when I had my baby last year. Unless you have some medicial condition might make it difficult for you to get pregnant, then it is a great idea to wait awhile. Enjoy your married life. No matter how wonderful having a child is, it is work.

If you are getting married next year, just wait until afterwards. Especially if neither one of you has kids. You will appreciate your time together prebaby so much more that way. And no! 30 is NOT too old! Do what makes you happy darlin.

my husband was 40 when I had our daughter he will be 42 whenthis one is born. So no I do not think 30 is old. I am not quite 30 yet, but I am glad to be having my children before that time. They will be out of the house when I am still somewhat young so I am kind of looking forward to that when it happens.

I know 40 year olds that have had babies. One of them had their first baby at 40. I am 34 and pregnant with my first one.
I think couples should be married a while before trying to get pregnant too. Couples need time to get adjusted to being pregnant. Plus you need couple time before bringing a baby into your marriage.
