what will be reason ? when playing counter strike and any other dvd games?

Do you have Windows Vista? If you do and it is Vista Premium or Ultimate, you need to boost your RAM. Vista is a Memory HOG. Premium and Ultimate require minimum 1gb RAM. So therefore Vista is using most of the RAM on your machine. Boost your RAM

if you have a core2duo you have a P4 processor. The difference is ram, up yours by 1 gig maybe even add 2 more gig and your mahcine should be MUCH faster.

Pretty unusual for a C2D. Try checking available RAM in Task Manager before you start your game. If it is low, try stopping unnecessary processes to increase available RAM. Otherwise you may just have to increase RAM by installing additional modules.
