(as its main diet?)

I don't know of anything that eats most household cockroaches as a main diet. Wood roaches and some of those jungle dwelling roaches have critters that eat them, but the most compelling information I have seen recently is about the close familial relationship between termites and cockroaches...so it would seem perhaps a good predator for cockroaches may be found in termite eaters. Of course if you have a roach problem you may need mechanical barrier, (borax) and/or insecticide, if you don't want to do that, seal everything up, use boric acid, (keep out of reach of children and pets). and wait a long time and they may go away?? depending on what kind you have they will eat almost anything, so sometimes spraying a chemical insecticide will just have to do, unless you don't mind living with them.

Lizards love to eat cockroaches.
The trouble is that the predator cannot wipe out the prey species, or the predators would die out or have to move away.
They can only eat a fraction of the prey species.

Do you mean house cockroaches? The ones you find in your home are eaten by house centipedes. Most roaches live outside, and certainly fall prey to anything that might be able to catch them.

haha i had that problem a while ago.
i asked my friends parents what i should do and they said to get a cat they like to eat them. but two problems-one u cant spray anything on them to slow them do or the cat will die if it eats it.two the cockroach might have a disease or something and that might kill them to but for the most part cats, i think so anyway, would be best. :)

Lizards and most of the cats.

Anything that can catch them. Spiders, geckos and mantids all do a good job - if you don't mind them in your house.
