How do I transfer all my Kodak EasyShare pictures from my laptop to my new desktop?

Is this even possible? And what about transfering iTunes songs from one to the other?

i have almost 5000 pictures, if i chose to do CD or memory stick, how much of each would i need? Approximation of course

if you have a CD burner, burn all the files on CD-R's. Then insert the CD into your new computer and take the files out.
If you happen to have a USB Flash Drive, just plug it in, drag the files to the drive, then plug it in your new computer and drag them back out

Hook up an ethernet cable from your desktop to your laptop. (That's the cord you plug in to go into high speed internet if you don't have wireless internet.)

You should be able to find the other computer over a Local Area Network (LAN) or Shared computers / Sharing... something like that.

From there, create a shared folder with all the pictures in it and your other computer should be able to download it.

I haven't done this in a while-- but if you get confused Google is usally a good place to go for sharing help.
This is much faster than using a flash drive to transfer a ton of pictures.


For iTunes, I'm sure there's a program on Google that'll rip the songs off iTunes/iPod you can use. You can already find the songs, but they get renamed in reality to like 1490fjamdne.mp3 so it is very difficult.
Shouldn't be that hard to locate considering how popular iTunes is.

I upload my Kodak pictures to EasyShare online. You can choose to make your pictures private and then resave them onto your computer. Though, that might take a really long time because you have over 5,000 pictures.
