I'm creating a game that will use a few seconds of music, and some movies sound tracks.?

Do I need a permit for that? Or I can just use the few seconds clips?

If you are going to try to sell the game, you definitely need to license the items you are going to use. If you are just going to have the game for your personal use and maybe distribute free to a few friends, then you're OK.

not sure. . do some more research . . you dont want to get in trouble with the copywriters. . .
