Recently i heard that some supersport four stroke motorcycles are using an automatic choke similar to cars. I was thinking to install such a system to my motorcycle but i dont know what parts i need. I dont know if this system is only available to injection systems, as my bike is a four-inline cv-carb.
I think it would be possible, by installing a heat sensor in the collector box to an actuator that would operate the choke lever?. But maybe i need something else to prevent the engine being flooded?.

Fuel delevery from the fuel injectors, is regulated by the ECM (computer) which reads engine temperatue be means of temperature sensors.
The sensor tells the computer what the engine temperature is.
If the computer determines that the engine is cold, it will tell the fuel injectors to shoot in more fuel - the amount is determined by the temperature of the engine
It's a complex set of checks and balances and not something you can just bolt onto another vehicle.

Not even worth the time, effort and expense to do. The new bikes like my 07 GSXR 1000 and my 02 Triumph Speed Triple have the auto chock. My 99 GSXR 750 is manual choke. When I ride my 99, the minute or two I actually have the choke on really is not a big deal.
The reason the choke isn't a big deal is because your bike needs to be warmed up before you start riding it anyways. If you don't let your bike warm up, you can be causing damage to the top end of the motor.

the choke is operated by the EMU(engine management unit)therefore if your bike doesn,t have auto choke it must be an old model so save money and keep with manual.Tip,when starting bike on choke only engage it to half way do not touch throttle until bike fires don not rev high let tickover for aminute disengage choke job done.

Cost would be prohibitive - new parts would be hundreds of pounds on a mutli cylinder bike.

Second hand parts could be obtained but the time and set up would be a pain in the rear end.

you combine 2 stroke. no longer 4 stroke. its merely time-honored gas from the pump. verify your vendors instruction manual to establish of which octane to apply. various the older motorcycles with greater compression used greater octane gas.

Forget it!! Can't be done unless you're an engineering genious - and I can already tell that you're not one of those ;)
