Different from all the above interpretations, third eye also denotes anger, especially in eastern countries. In Hindu religion, especially in India there is a diety named Lord Shiva who could burn the sinners with a third eye he pocessed. So came the usage of third eye to represent anger and discontent.

It CAN mean : the spot right between your eyes & a little above that on your forehead.
You can stare at someone's "third eye" to intimidate them & they won't even realize WHY they are intimidated.
