just start with moving out of your parents house.
then you can think about what you want to do next.

I don't know your educational goals, but I suggest checking into some colleges in places that you'd like to explore. Atlanta is an exciting place, so is California. But keep in mind the expense to travel back home to visit or for your parents to visit you. Going to college in these places will allow you to further your education AND see if you'd like to live there.

If you like Atlanta but not the cost of living, think about living in Decatur, GA (15 minutes), **Stone Mountain, GA (20 minutes), or College Park, GA (12 minutes). The cost of living in these cities is less than Atlanta and the commute is within 20 minutes away (for the times you want to experience the hustle and bustle).
