The universe formed as a result of the Big Bang.

Its demise will be either the Big Rip or the BIg Freeze.

And the Universe is expanding at an increasing rate. This means it will never slow down, and will never collapse back on itself. That means there was only one Big Bang.

God who exists outside of time and space which are parts of this universe caused it to be created. The idea that a violent explosion resulted in an orderly universe is absurd. The fact that something cannot come from "nothing" necessitates an "un-caused, first cause" of this universe.

"what will be it's demise?

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

THE COMING OF THE UNIVERSE INTO EXISTENCE
astrophysics has reached today is that the entire universe, together with the dimensions of matter and time, came into existence as a result of a great explosion that occurred a long time ago. This event, known as "The Big Bang," is the catalyst for the creation of the universe from nothingness. This explosion, all parties in the scientific community agree, emanated from a single point some 15 billion years ago. (

All theories about big bang other than the one that assumed to be our very source of existence is still not proven, and may be will not be proven forever, due to the fact that big bang is a singularity, and there is no meaning to talk about time and space beyond a singularity.

Just think like this you see the clock hands pointing at 9:15, In this case time has a meaning, as you will know that 5 minutes later the clock hands will point to 9:20 , and 15 minutes later they will point to 9:30, this is what predictability is (Assuming the clock is working perfectly). This is sure because the clock obey a law of physic.

But beyond singularity, the space time curvature will be infinite, the clock wont work by any law of physic, so you wont see the clock work like in normal space. The very atom that composing the clock themselves will not obey any law of physic, not to mention there is no way for light to reach your eyes, and your eyes wont obey any law of physic. So there will be no time beyond any singularity like a big bang.

As there is no time as a variable beyond a singularity, then in respect to what you want to talk about cycle? Cycle simply wont exist without the variable for it to cycle around.

There was just one. It was not an explosion, it was a rapid expansion from a point called a singularity and the universe is still expanding because of that expansion and it will probably expand itself out of existence.

Scripture says God SPOKE all things into existence with His Word:
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.... For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:6-9)

I have an astron-physics background and yes, I believe the Scripture.

"I am fascinated by some strange developments going on in astronomy....The astronomical evidence leads to a Biblical view of the origin of the world". -- Robert Jastrow (Astomomer) and former Director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies

No one knows yet. They should theoretically not be another big bang, as all planetary objects are moving away from each other.

The universe was not "formed" according to the steady state theory, it has always been the way it is today.
