And in two years time you only have to replace the windscreen to start again.
T-Cut is an abrasive for removing dead paint (bloom) from car and other painted surfaces. It will scratch your windscreen.
Someone else has suggested white spirit or similar, yes it does clean but it leaves an oily film which causes smearing.
Best of all is to wipe the screen with a cloth with a dilute screen cleaner mix and then wash using a chamois leather.

The best hing is to use the Rain-X, you have to apply two layers.Rain-X is actually made to improve the visibility driving with rain (is great!) But it's also good to make the wipers to work smoothly. It lasts a long time, I took my car to the touchless car wash several times and the Rain-X is still there.
You can get 1 spray for about 6-7 bucks and it lasts a long time once you don't have to reapply often.

The best way is to get a flat even surface and rub wiper blade over sand paper once or twice (BUT DONT PUSH DOWN TOO HARD) then rinse to get all particles off so they dont scratch windscreen.

A noisy windscreen is usually caused by worn wiper blades..... and not a dirty windscreen.
Don't even think about 'T Cut'.

Jack, don't T-cut glass. you are removing the outer lamination that holds the glass together after an accident. You are also very slightly weakening the strength of the screen every time you do T-cut it. Stones and chippings thrown up will then damage the glass far more easily.
Use Autoglym glass polish instead as it is formulated especially for the job. Used by 99% of manufacturers before and during motor shows and during production.
Also reccomended by Aston Martin, Lamborghini etc and they wouldn't put just anything on thier cars!

Dealerships I worked at would use Bon-Ami or similiar products to remove residue, dirt or sap on windshields and stop wiper "chatter"

Just use "Rain-X" washer fluid. Your wiper blades will last a long time 'cause you don't use them as much. It also increases your vision while driving in rain.

Careful! If you have any tiny chips or scratches then it may fill them and affect visibility.
Wiper noise only comes from wiping on a dry(ish) screen anyway.
