1. factor into (3x + 5)^2 = 0 so x = -5/3
I guess this is a singleton since there is only one solution.

2. p(x)*q(x)

3. D < 0

4. 11
10+01 = 11
11+11 = 22
12 + 21 = 33
13 + 31 = 44
92+29=121
94+49 = 143

5. 11..... 1+ 1 <> 1
23 ........ 2 + 3 <> 6
10 ........ 1 + 0 <> 0
22 ........ 2 + 2 = 2*2
The answer is 22

These are not sums. These are concept questions. If you cannot at this time come up with the answers, please re-read your chapter. Check out what a least common multiplier is. .I think you also should check out a definition of a real root. The answer is evident if you know what that is. #4 is a question about numbers. Think about it in terms of some real numbers like the ones listed in #5. Plus I do hope the question means evenly divisible. No matter what the two digit number is, what number can you always divide into another number? #5. Check out the numbers provided.

1. its a perfect square trinomial... (3x+5)^2 so the solution set is {-5/3} ... this is a singleton.

2. for any nonzero entities, LCM*GCF = p(x)*q(x)
thus GCF = p(x)*q(x)
Note also: GCF = HCF.

3. D should be a negative number.
Additional note: if the discriminant is zero.. there roots are real and equal. if the discriminant is positive... the roots are real and unequal.

4. (10x + y) + (10y + x) is always divisible by 11

5. just try the numbers... answer: d. 22...
sum is 4, product is 4.

1. D = 900 - 900 = 0
So, the answer will be singleton.
2. Formula = L.C.M = Product of the numbers / H.C.F
So, L.C.M. = {(x) * (x)} / 1
L.C.M = x^2 / 1
3. 0
4. 1
5. 22

1.ur question is not clear.sorry!
2.since the hcf is 1 thats mean that the numbers are co-prime and hence their products is their lcm
3.for value less than 0
4.always by 11
5.22

1)* saperate
(3x)^2 + (3*5*2)x + 5^2=0
*acoording to the formula a^2+2ab+b^2=(a+b)(a+b)
(3x+5)(3x+5)=0
*therefore
3x must not be equal to 5
*divide by 3
x must not be equal to 0.6
