with webrooter as my spy sweeper and avg the free version as my anti virus and windows fire wall also i have spybot and adware free versions am i ok?

I'm using the same software for my protection. I've been using this "suite" of software for over a year now and have had no problems with anything getting into my PC.
The only recommendation I make it that you set AVG to run every day, set AdAware to run at every boot up, and then you should manually run Spy Sweeper and Spybot at least weekly.
Additionally, I recommend you get the following tools also to help keep your PC running efficently. These are FREE and available at http://www.download.com
Registry Cleaner: Registry Distiller
General Cleaner: CCleaner
You might also search on an automatic "defrag" utility at download.com also. I purchased Diskeeper and it's a great program for $30. I do believe you'll find free ones at download. Otherwise run the Microsoft one that is in the System Utilities at least once a week. Here's the path:
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Defrag
One last recommendation. If you have a LAN and you are using a router you need to change the user name and password on that router and one more level of protection. I have a Linksys router and there are instructions on their web site on how to do it.
