Of course it is. Unfortunately its become stylish to trash talk and yap. Its all nonsense. Give me a Barry Sanders or Joe Dumars or Marvin Harrison any day over someone who wastes time running their mouth.

It's a sign of childishness.

Poor sportsmanship is called gamesmanship and its just a posh word for cheating. The players themselves are guilty of this and I'm sad to say that all players do it from time to time.

i agree with you Friend. not only is it a sign of poor sportsmanship, but also a sign of a lack of Education.

Coached girls softball for 14 yrs. Never allowed the girls to trash talk the other team.

The idea is that we were there for fun and exercise, nasty talk has no place in the sporting field.

It is,but almost everybody does it.
I only find it really objectionable when the insults are made in bad taste rather than in good humour.e.g.racism,deaths,etc.
It can be a fine line to cross.

it is but i did it once well it was a player not a team lol but it was when he injured a player on my team so i was pissed
