I live in quite a big village the people I chat to all seem to have their own opinions on the matter, Very similar to Yahoo.
In the first month Madeleine disappeared I have to admit I got shot down in flames quite a few times by the parents who were collecting their children from school ( school pick up time is when all the gossip/news gets discussed) some couldn’t believe I was suggesting that the McCann’s were wrong for leaving their children on that night. A lot have now changed their views.

Mostly the neglect issue and the fact that there is a huge pot of money that is now a Limited Company. Most people I've heard talk are suspicious of the McCanns.

This subject has had allot of coverage in the town i live in, i have not heard one person defending the actions of the McCanns, everyone believes they are guilty of neglect and a few have suggested they are responsible in other ways, the most popular (for want of a better word) theory is the one concerning a mistake when sedating the children.

My town is the McCann's town (or village should I say)!
And to be honest it is all very quiet at the mo, some people showing support and some people not, very much as on here.

Not much. I live in Japan and although everyone knows who she is no one really cares about it that much. A school boy cut off his parents heads and carried them into a police station at about the same time as the Madeleine abduction so I think that won on the news priorities.

I dont discuss it in my real life, just here on this cyber town. When it is brought up, most people blame the McCanns for leaving her alone, but dont go as far as say they believe the overdose story, as yet. However people might only discuss their real feelings with their nearest and dearest, for fear of being called evil?
I am waiting for it to be proved, and then I can say told you so!

in my town.
the word is:-
they're a sad excuse for so-called highly-educated doctors.
the most mentioned is the neglect, their selfishness & their rank stupidity.
all for the want of a take-away & some common-sense!
& i agree in most part.
anyone who took their motherhood/fatherhood seriously, can't fail to find fault with the mccanns.
to defend them defies logic!

It is all quiet in the village I live in. No one has mentioned anything about the Mc's.
