Everex and Gateway have horrible quality. List of great quality brands: HP,Sony Asus, Alienware, Dell

Never heard of Everex. Stay away (far away) from Gateway. Dell is really not that much better either, but they are better quality than Gateway.
Sony/HP/Lenovo/Toshiba are about the best out there.

gateway are good but it aint the make really its the spec such as how much ram has it got, how much gig hard drive is it whats the motherboard make and model whats built in some you get microphone built in and webcams built in to, so say you found a gateway laptop for about 399 and it had intel celeron m inside, 2 gig ram 160 gig hard drive built in mic and webcam then you would have an excellent deal, best place to check out is novatech there the best deals you could ever get i been there before and im thinking about getting the latest 204mbps wireless card which is faster than normal broadband wired,

Don't waste your time or money on either. Buy Direct and buy the best.
