Yes, they will...

For all you non NY'ers, or Yankee haters, we are not worried about the seattle mariners... they are playing way over their heads, they have a killer schedule the rest of the way, and barely return home in the last 30 games...the Yankees will squich them like the annoyance they are (though I will say I hope the mariners beat out the Angels for division, because I can't stomach that as the first round playoff matchup)

Here's the thing. The yankees have a good enough team to make the playoffs, except that they're stuck in a division with the best team in baseball, the Boston Red Sox. Whether new york fans can admit it or not, the Red Sox have all the tools. They'll have three 18 game winners when all is said and done at the end of the regular season, and their bullpen is virtually lights out with Okajima and Papelbon. The Yankees have the offense, but if the pitching doesn't pull it together down the stretch they might find themselves watching their rivals on TV. The Yankees best shot is the wild card, but that's not going to be any easy task the way teams like Seattle, Minnesota, and Cleveland are playing right now. Overall, the Yankees have a good shot, and always seem to find a way to get themselves into october, but for the first time in a long time we could see them missing the playoffs this fall.

I am a Yankees fan and I honestly am not quite sure about them. They're pitching is not great, and now that they are getting some good pitching, Torre keeps putting Sean Henn in in the 11th innings and losing every time he throws a pitch. The bullpen, Im happy to say is good now, with the exception of Sean Henn. Mussina will need to go, so will Clemens and Kei Igawa. If they don't do something here or sweep the Red Sox, I'm gonna have to say they won't make the playoffs.

i will in basic terms communicate for why I hate the yankees with a keenness. easily, they take each little thing stable out of baseball. while a collection ought to purchase their very own $800 million stadium themselves, their funds is only too ridiculously severe. they should purchase and sell all the wonderful gamers, which seems cool and such, besides the incontrovertible fact that it takes the contest out of the honestly hobby. no stable gamers will stay with a doubtlessly stable group while they could be paid thousands and thousands extra a three hundred and sixty 5 days to do the comparable factor. that doubtlessly stable group under no circumstances develops because of the fact they might't compete. it crushes the little adult adult males. seem at how most of the yankees are ex-Pittsburgh Pirates. it is ridiculous. yet Pittsburgh would not have the value variety to compete. it is easily an unfair income. it actually takes all the relaxing out of a hobby to visual reveal unit one group win and one group lose for finished generations because of the fact of money flow. baseball is a hobby that must be liked for the affection of the hobby and the contest that exists. the yankees eliminate from the worry-unfastened values of baseball, the contest. if the MLB created sales caps, the baseball generally would be extra advantageous. while the NFL created sales caps, you began to be sure distinctive communities play each and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days interior the large bowl. it makes it lots extra exciting while your group (whoever they are) continuously stands a guess of winning. if the large bowl had the comparable communities each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, it might get uninteresting. it gets uninteresting while its continuously the yankees and the crimson sox or whoever has the biggest funds that 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. in fact, the yankees are the equivalent of walmart. they flow in, take over and stress all different smaller opposition into chapter 11 enterprise. then while all the opposition are long previous, you the two have low-priced crap that doesnt final or they expenditures will at last shoot up returned. plus, the yank league as an entire is actual kinda pathetic. i disagree with the entire distinctive hitter theory. the pitcher would not bat and in his place you get a 50 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous guy who can swing a bat in there to hit for one pitch, he gets to the backside and somebody else runs it in. it is truly kinda wimpy in my opinion

The way its looking today I would have to say no. Boston look really good and the Yankees have fallen off of their torrid pace coming out of the all-star break. Funny thing about baseball is that the team who gets hot in September wins the division and League.
