Check the water in the radiator. If it is rusty and dirty, perhaps the radiator is clogged/choked. Clean out the radiator and check the fins on the radiator are not blocked.

Check your cooling fans while the car is hot if they are running well. The cooling fans are weak if she overheats in the traffic but the temperature drops down on the highway. Also check the fan relays for operation.

Check the 'V' belt driving the water pump. If loose, tighten it and see the results.

Bad water pump, plugged radiator, blocked radiator, bad cooling fan, bad cooling fan relay.....

Many many things. Have it checked out immediately before you overheat and permanently damage the engine.
